Acorn General Supervisor
We have vacancies for General Supervisors based at our busy Acorn site. Primarily working within our Reuse team, you will assist the Team Leaders in operational aspects of running the Acorn Reuse operation and supervise staff, volunteers and clients working in various areas of the organisation.
You will also:
- Create a positive working atmosphere for staff, clients and volunteers.
- Plan and organise daily tasks, ensuring staff understand instructions and processes and provide any training needed.
- Lead and support staff to carry out tasks such as sorting, pricing, re-stocking, cleaning and organise shelves and displays.
- Deal with customer enquiries professionally and courteously.
- Identify any safeguarding concerns and bring them to the immediate attention of the line manager.

Acorn General Assistants
We are recruiting for permanent and zero-hour contract General Assistants to work at our Acorn Enterprises premises in Trinity.
Primarily based within the Acorn Reuse team, you will be responsible for:
- Accepting and sorting donations from the public.
- Assisting with loading and unloading customer vehicles and Acorn vans, which will involve carrying bags and boxes of donated items and items of furniture.
- Cleaning, sorting and pricing of goods ensuring that they are ready for sale including furniture, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, sports equipment, children’s toys, clothing etc.
- Restocking the shop with priced items and ensuring the shop floor shelves and aisles are clean and tidy.
- Providing good customer service when dealing with members of the public in any area of Acorn.
